The Luberon Nature Park is one of the 7 nature parks in Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur overlapping the Vaucluse and the Alpes de Haute Provence.
It is a member of the European and global Geoparks networks assisted by UNESCO. Geoparks have an outstanding geodiversity and are involved in the local economic developement through enhancement of a general image linked to their geological heritage and the development of geotourism.
Luberon Monts de Vaucluse is situated in the heart of The Luberon Nature Park.
This rural fragile territory is well-known for its quality of life, its heritage and its outstanding landscapes. The park sketches over 1850 km² and its altitude varies between 70 and 1125 meters (at the summit of the Mourre Nègre).

During your stay, try to observe the Percnopter Vulture, the Red Helleborine and the Zygaena rhadamanthus.
Keep an eye out!
The Percoptere Vulture is a bird of prey emblematic of the Luberon. Migratory, spending the bad season in Africa, you might be lucky to see it in spring and in summer.
The Red Helleborine is not red! This rather common orchid is visible in My in the light and cool afforestation of holms or downy oaks.
The Zygaena rhadamanthus is a rather rare butterfly, enfeoffed to a host plant (plant where the eggs are layed and used for feeding the caterpillars afterwards): the 5 leaved-dorycnie. this butterfly is protected by law.
