Presentation of the Domaine la Corrée

"For more than 20 years (1930 - 4th generation) we have positioned our production on direct sales. It's a real desire to be in tune with the life of the village and the expectations of our customers, as we adapt to their demands and try to make new products.

There are three of us working together, my husband Pierre, my son and I; we are quite complementary. My husband has the pleasure of planting, of growing the product, and we all harvest together. To preserve the quality of our products, we pick daily and sell them the same day directly at the farm. There is almost no intermediary between the production and the consumer. From April we have strawberries, asparagus and new potatoes. From June the melons arrive, we also have tomatoes and other vegetables that are emblematic of summer!"

Why direct sales?

"The people who come to us are those who share a part of our life. They see the crops evolve, the plants grow and our work. At the end of each season, we say goodbye, even if we meet again in the village. Our customers are happy to see us at the beginning of the season, in April. They often tell us "we are so happy to see you again, we missed it."

"We live our work"

"Some customers have become friends: they share our daily life and that's also why we love our job. The exchange and the feedback we get from our customers make us want to continue. We really enjoy promoting our products and talking to our customers. We live and work on our farm. I think that's what our customers like too!"

"Today we are already working with integrated pest management for the products grown in the greenhouse. Direct sales and markets are also an opportunity to meet consumers. Today, the important thing is to get to know the people who work with the produce and to initiate a genuine exchange. People can discover us at a market and then come and see us at the farm, these are very convivial moments that are appreciated as much by them as by us.

The Lourmarin farmers' market

"At a farmers' market, you can really find producers' products. The one in Lourmarin starts at 5pm every Tuesday. We have the possibility of having a fairly wide range of products. A refreshment bar is also available through the cooperators of the 4 surrounding villages. People do their shopping on the market, take the opportunity to buy a few things and then come and share a glass of friendship with a small cheese, for example, directly on the spot: we really do meet to enjoy a pleasant moment beyond the market. It's a great opportunity to meet up with the villagers and share a drink without obligation."

The art of Provençal living can be found every Tuesday: time stops and we meet again.

Opening hours and days

From April to August the direct sale is open every day at Domaine La Corrée, from 9am to 12pm. You can also find them on Tuesday afternoons at the market in Lourmarin.
